Perioperative patient companion
A digital perioperative companion developed around real clinical workflows, patient information needs, usability requirements and regulatory considerations.
The Challenge
Turning complex perioperative clinical requirements into a digital experience that patients can actually understand and use.
The project brings together patient education, clinical workflows, usability requirements and implementation constraints in a single digital product. The challenge is not simply to digitize information, but to translate clinical needs into a clear patient journey while considering evidence, validation and regulatory requirements from the beginning.
My Contribution
Product strategy
Clinical problem framing, product scope and translation of clinical needs into product requirements.
Content architecture
Structuring perioperative information and patient-facing content into a coherent digital journey.
UX & usability
Supporting journey design, interaction logic, usability evaluation and iterative product refinement.
Validation
Planning and supporting user research, usability studies and evidence generation.
Regulatory & product thinking
Integrating intended purpose, classification considerations and regulatory strategy into product development.
From clinical need to working product
The work combines clinical understanding with product development. Requirements are derived from clinical workflows and patient needs, translated into product structure and interaction design, implemented iteratively and evaluated through usability and validation activities.
